Mr Eggman is a set of digital communication stickers inspired by how non-verbal users engage with Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC). By repackaging Picture Communication Symbols (PCS) as relatable digital stickers, it highlights the similarities between neurodivergent and neurotypical ways of expressing thoughts.

Just as we use stickers to convey emotions and ideas in our chats, AAC relies on symbols to support non-verbal communication. Mr Eggman playfully draws attention this parallel, showing that neurodivergent communication isn’t so different from our own and that it is simply a different way of expressing the same desire to connect.

With each sticker sent, Mr Eggman invites us to approach communication with greater empathy and curiosity, encouraging a deeper appreciation of the many ways we share and understand one another.

Note:
The project uses PCS Classic, a familiar and widely recognised AAC symbol style, chosen for its clarity, warmth and accessibility. The decision to give the character a name was made independently by Weyway Studio for this project.
